Reading at Home

Which books can I expect my child to bring home from school?

How will I know what band my child is reading at?

Your child’s book band is recorded on Boom Reader.

For pupils taking part in RWI phonics, the colour band of their book will match their current group colour.

For pupils who have finished RWI phonics in Year 2 onwards, they will bring home a colour-banded book.

How can I support my child with their reading at home?

At Osborne, our home reading records are completed via BoomReader.

Every child receives login details from their teacher that contain everything you need to get started.

We would like our pupils to be reading at least three times per week at home.

Click this link for more information on how to log onto Boom Reader and record your child’s reading.
